Give us a quick intro to who you are…

I’m Beth! I’m an Account Director at BBJ&K and I’m originally from Cumbria!

How did you come to work at BBJ&K?

I was living in Manchester and had just finished my degree in PR and Marketing, I was looking for jobs all over the place and when this opportunity came up I couldn’t say no! I’ve been here five years in July which is seriously crazy, time has flown by.

Describe your job in 3 words…

Fun, busy, diverse

What’s something that’s surprised you about working at BBJ&K?

How diverse the job can be, every single day is different. There’s a stereotype that nine-to-fives are boring or repetitive but that’s not been my experience!

What do you like to do outside of work?

I like doing the usual; going to concerts, watching football, spending time with my family/friends. I also like to just do nothing, I’m quite content on the sofa watching TikTok’s to be honest!

What are you putting into Room 101?

People with poor train etiquette! Nothing ruins my day more than people who don’t know how to behave on a train during my commute.

What’s your favourite ad campaign?

I always think Specsavers have such good campaigns, everything from their placement to their creative always fits the brand and is really memorable.

Who on the team would you most like to swap places with for the day? Who on the team would you most like to swap places with for the day?

Is it bad that my mind went right to who brings the best lunch? On that basis, I’d have to say Sophia, she always has amazing food!

What’s one website you couldn’t do your job without?

I’d say either WeTransfer or ilovepdf… I wish I had a more interesting answer

How do you describe what you do for a living to your family and friends?

I’ve tried a few different ways over the years but I just settle on ‘advertising’. I usually get a ‘ooh so you make them then’ and then have to explain that no, I plan and buy them!

If you could have any superpower what would it be?

I think either super speed or flying. I love going places but really hate the travelling!
