The Camping and Caravanning Club are a membership organisation with over 100+ Club Sites across the UK. BBJ&K have worked with the Club for a number of years and have collaborated on some fantastic campaigns, one of which was our Free Radio Staycation.
Each year The Camping and Caravanning Club (CCC) host National Camping and Caravanning Week to celebrate camping, caravanning and the great outdoors. In conjunction with this week, the Club wanted to create a campaign which shared this with broader audiences to get them to start camping and become a member of the Club, which gives them member benefits to enhance their camping experience.
BJ&K, C&CC and Bauer collaborated through a series of meetings to create a campaign that was not only engaging for the audience but also exciting for the presenters to ensure they enjoyed the experience. The key objective of the campaign was to demonstrate to listeners that a camping trip isn’t just about the tent and the stove, but also about the experiences you can have on your trip. The campaign saw Bauer presenters across the country staying overnight on a site, participating in activities with competition winners including making pizzas, surfing and archery.
One week, 3 live broadcasts, 16 pizzas and 13 VERY happy campers, the Come Camp With Me promotion was a huge success! Across the three Bauer stations, the campaign generated 5,521,000 Impacts with an OTH of 5.26. The campaign also generated 8,224 competition entries, giving the Club opt in data to use for further contact with the audience base.
